
Heritage Walk
Nestled on the foot of the Makhonjwa Mountains now a World Heritage Site is Barberton.
Why not visit our town and get to know the history and beautifuly scenery before you do any of the activities that we offer.
The Heritage walk can be done unguided, information can be given at Barberton Adventures these tours are very limited with information so our guides are always on standby just incase you change your mind. Tours happen daily, we are open from 8am to 16pm weekdays and Saturdays and on Sundays and public holidays we open at 8am to 14pm.
Our Geo Trail is probably one of the most scenic drives in Mpumalanga, with breathtaking views, great photography and very well placed information boards at every site. If you like you can get more information at Barberton Adventures, but best advice is to pack a light picnic basket and explore what the wonders of our Geo Trail has in store for you.
There are many scenic drives around the Makhonjwa Mountains if travelling is what you love to do. A day trip can start from Barberton to Shiyalongubu dam or even to the Ghost Town of Msauli Mines, more information can be given at our one stop shop Barberton Adventures.
A : Gumboots are provided. Closed shoes recommended.
Q : Do I need warm clothes?
A : Yes, a light jacket.
Q : Do I need sunblock and a hat?
A : Recommended for prospecting.
Q : Are there bees?
A : Yes, at certain times of day. If you are allergic to bees make sure to bring your specific medication.
Q : Are there spiders and snakes en route?
